Acne treatment

We offer comprehensive treatment for patients with acne vulgaris, supplemented by procedures to reduce or eliminate acne scars.

Depending on the clinical presentation, we use fractional CO2 laser technology for treatments. For hypertrophic scars and acne scars, we administer intralesional triamcinolone injections combined with cryotherapy or laser therapy.

Fractional CO2 laser

Ablative fractional CO2 laser is one of the most effective tools for treating acne scars, which can be atrophic (depressions in the skin of varying shape and depth) or hypertrophic (raised scars and keloids). The laser works by precisely damaging the skin, creating so-called ablative micro-columns, which stimulates natural regenerative processes – it boosts the production of elastin and collagen, leading to scar smoothing and improved texture.

Local glucocorticoid injections for the treatment of scars

Intralesional triamcinolone injections are used to treat hypertrophic scars and keloids, which can form at sites of active acne in predisposed individuals. Intralesional administration of steroids has a strong anti-inflammatory effect, causing softening and slow regression of hypertrophic scar tissue. Intralesional corticosteroid injections are often a component of combination therapy for hypertrophic scars and keloids.
